A 1) Participation and Eligibility
1. Participation in the OFCD 35th Adult Angler Tournament shall be Deaf and/or Hard of Hearing and their primary language usage is ASL. Adults shall be of 18 years of age and older.
A 2). Registration
1. The date, time and location registration forms shall be sent out in advance of the event and be posted on the OFCD’s website www.ofcd35.wixsite.com under the link of the 35th OFCD Anniversary.
2. Teams registering shall sign their names on the registration forms to following the rules and policies set forth by the OFCD 35th Tournament Event.
3. Should a team not follow the rules/policies they may be disqualified from competing and not be refunded.

A 3). Entry Fee
1. A Team of two (2) Anglers will be $150.00.
2. Lunker fees $30.00 ($10.00 per day “Angler has option to pay”) per Angler (Not per team)
3. Teams will complete for the three (3) days; Wednesday September 1st, Thursday September 2, & Friday September 3rd (7:00am – 4:30pm)
4. Anglers shall have a valid, proper fishing licence, or Outdoors Card (Ontario Residents) from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF). Highly recommend one of your team members to hold a Sports Fishing License.
5. Anglers 65 years of age and older are not required a fishing licence but be required to show proof of their age to the OFCD Tournament officials.
6. Teams must have a valid Pleasure Craft Licence to participate in tournament.
7. $150.00 fee for team due by Friday June 25 by e-transfer to Treasurer Robert Petrone at rspetrone99@gmail.com or mail a certified cheque to Robert Petrone OFCD 35th Treasurer 458 Cooper St. Cambridge Ontario N3C 3Y6. Late entry fees $40.00.
8. Cut off Date is Friday August 20, 2021 at 8:00pm
A 4) OFCD Liability Wavier
1. All participants are required to sign the OFCD Liability Waiver form.
A 5) Responsibilities
1. OFCD 35th Anniversary Committee & OFCD Board shall not be responsible for any damage to your personal belongings, lost and/or stolen items, and incidents/accidents resulting in injury or death to any person participating in the OFCD 35TH Tournament/events. PLEASE READ THE COPY OF THE LIABILITY WAIVER.
A 6) Fish
1. Only Largemouth (LM) and Smallmouth (SM) Bass may be caught.
A 7) Lunker
1. Lunker prizes (CASH) will be awarded each of the three days of the Adult tournament.
2. If two Anglers have the same weight the first Lunker weighed in each day shall get the cash prize.
A 8) Tackle and Equipment
1. Only artificial lures shall be used.
2. Only one line may be in the water at any time and casted only from the boat.
3. Trolling by using gas – powered engine is prohibited.
4. Lines can be casted out only when outboard is not running. Both Anglers’ lines must be out of the water before starting outboard engine.
5. Usage of any electronic devices (Fish Finders, Transducer, Electric Trolling Motors) is permitted.
A 9) Fishing Water
1. Adult Tournament shall only fish in the Lower Beverley Lake accordingly to the OFCD 35th Adult Angler Tournament Map of the Lake.
2. Anglers shall not be permitted to fish within 50 yards (150 feet) of another angler’s boat that was first to anchor or secure a fixed position with the trolling motor in the water and/or OFCD headquarters.
3. Only registered teams (Anglers) are allowed in the boat during the 3 days fishing tournament.
4. Exception of permitted individual(s) approved by the OFCD Tournament Director (Camera/Video person for promotional purpose) may go onto Angler’s boat.
A 10) Pre-Tournament Practice
1. Unlimited pre-tournament practice is allowed Saturday August 28th, Sunday August 29th, and Monday August 30th.
2. Pre-tournament will cease at 5pm on Monday August 30th.
3. No Teams may enter tournament waters for the purpose of catching or locating bass or locating possible fishing locations before/after tournament hours.
A 11) Boat Requirements
1. Every registered boat must have the following items: Kill Switch, two life jackets, paddle, Boat Essential Kit: (Orange container/Bailer with lid, Safety Whistle, 50 Ft Braided Rope with Float, Waterproof Marine Flashlight)
2. Live wells and/or Coolers with working Aerator.
3. Life jackets must be zipped, buckled/clasped at all times when boat is in motion
using gas-powered outboard.
A 12) Weather Conditions / Emergency
1. OFCD Officials and Angler Teams will discuss “Delay start time if severe weather”.
2. In the event of thunderstorm, lightening, or severe weather Teams must pull onto the nearest shoreline until it is safe to continue fishing.
A 13) Big Bass Tuesday
1. Anglers (Not Team) have the option to compete for Big Bass Tuesday August 31st.
2. OFCD Tournament officials shall check your boat and live well before starting checkout time.
3. Anglers to compete from 7am – 12pm.
4. Fee 20.00 per Angler - 1st and 2nd place (Depending on number of anglers) for Biggest Bass wins 100% Cash Prize.
A 14) Adult Angler Tournament
1. OFCD Adult Angler Tournament Hours:
Teams will complete for the three (3) days:
Wednesday September 1st 7:00am – 4:30pm
Thursday September 2nd 7:00am – 4:30pm
Friday September 3rd 7:00am – 4:30pm
2. OFCD Tournament officials shall check your boat and live well before starting checkout time.
3. Teams must check-in at the weigh station/dock area immediately after docking their boat before 4:30pm with an OFCD Tournament Official.
4. Only teams shall bring in their bag of catch to the weigh station. Teams must use water-filled bags they own or be provided by the OFCD official when transporting their catch from boat to weigh station.
5. Immediately after team official weigh in, Team is to return to their boats and move away from weigh station/dock.
A 15) Late Time
1. Arriving late for weigh in at the weigh station/dock area at the announced arrival time shall be penalized at the rate of 1 pound per minute to be deducted from the total weight of their catch that day. After 15 minutes late, the team will be disqualified for the day.
A 16) Scoring
1. The maximum number of bass shall be 5 per team each day.
2. Bass minimum length shall be 13 inches or longer and measured from the closed mouth to the compressed tail.
3. If a team brings in bag of 6 or more Bass the OFCD official shall remove the heaviest bass until 5 bass limits is reached. All tossed out bass will not be transferred to any other teams and will be released by OFCD officials.
4. Scoring at the weigh-in shall be based on pounds (LB) with two numbers after the decimal point.
5. Any bass/lunker that is dead presented at weigh-in or that cannot swim away when released will be deducted 0.50 lbs. per bass from the total weight of their catch that day.
6. OFCD aims to practice catch and release! Should Anglers wish to keep their fish (dead or alive) an OFCD official shall have the gills punctured.
A 17) Ranking and Prize
1. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize for total bass weight and Lunker weight during each tournament day (September 1st, 2nd, & 3rd)
2. Then Final total Bass Weight and Biggest Lunker (3 days) will receive cash prize/prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th place (Depending on number of teams registered).
